The story is described as a dystopian body horror sci-fi, taking place in a world without sunlight. Two anime characters sit side-by-side on a green subway bench. The figure on the left has a bouquet of bright red spider lilies where its head should be, wearing a stained gray jumpsuit with roots trailing from its cuffs and shoes. The figure on the right has messy white hair, a blue-and-white color-block jacket, and sits with hands clasped, looking forward. Dark night scenes with floating particles are visible through the windows behind them. Large white Japanese text runs vertically on the right and a bold stylized title “フールナイト” with “FOOL NIGHT” underneath spans the bottom of the frame.
