Our selection philosophy
The process begins with fans submitting the people and works they believe deserve recognition. iFANN's internal editorial team reviews every nomination for category fit, eligibility, identity, duplication, and abuse. Accepted nominees join the public ballot. After public voting closes, the iFANN International Editorial Board independently ranks the five finalists.
Winners are then decided the way every iFANN Award is decided: fan votes account for 60% of the final score, and the editorial board accounts for the remaining 40%. Fans stay firmly at the center, while the panel keeps the shortlist credible and the results defensible.
Why it matters
For all its scale, Indian drama rarely gets a global stage that treats it as the powerhouse it is. Serials that command audiences most Western prestige shows can only dream of are still too often left out of the international conversation.
The Indian Drama Awards give this industry that stage, and they hand the microphone to the people who know it best. What a win includes
