Yuna made history as the first Malaysian artist to chart on the US Billboard 200 and to win a BET Award. Her album Chapters was critically acclaimed, landing on year-end best-of lists from Rolling Stone and Billboard. She has been a trailblazer for Southeast Asian artists in the global music scene, and her success has opened doors for other Malaysian musicians.

AwardsYuna has won several awards including the Best New Artist at the Anugerah Industri Muzik (Malaysia's music awards) in 2008. She also won Best International Act at the BET Awards in 2013 and Best Asian Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2012.
