Yuki Kawamura's career is a series of historic firsts. He was the first Japanese player to be named to a FIBA World Cup all-tournament team, earning All-Second Team honors in 2023. At 5'7", he is the shortest player ever to appear in an NBA game, and his transition from B.League MVP to NBA starter in just two seasons is unprecedented for a Japanese guard. His 17-assist game in the B.League remains a league record. He is widely regarded as the greatest point guard in Japanese basketball history.
