YSL Records

YSL Records, short for Young Stoner Life Records, is an American record label that calls Atlanta, Georgia, home. Rapper Young Thug founded the imprint in 2016, and it operates as an arm of 300 Entertainment. The label's roster has shifted over time, but as of 2026, it includes Thug himself, along with Strick, T-Shyne, Yung Kayo, Tezzus, Diamond*, 1300Saint, and Iyrus. While not officially signed, a host of contemporary stars, Drake, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Lil Gotit, Nav, Travis Scott, and Slimelife Shawty, have shown allegiance to the YSL brand, often collaborating or appearing under its umbrella.

YSL Records became a household name in the hip-hop world not just for its music, but for the legal storm that engulfed it. From 2022 to 2024, the label was the center of a massive criminal trial. Young Thug, Gunna, and several other YSL affiliates were arrested and charged with racketeering and gang-related crimes under Georgia's RICO Act. Prosecutors alleged that YSL Records functioned as a street gang, a claim the defense fiercely contested. The trial captured national attention, raising questions about the intersection of rap lyrics and criminal evidence. In 2024, Young Thug was released on probation, bringing a contentious chapter to a close. The label's story is as much about music as it is about legal battles, making it a unique player in the industry.

The label is now in a rebuilding phase. Young Thug has been actively recruiting new talent, publicly courting Kodak Black and Quavo through social media. In July 2026, YSL announced the New Generation Tour, spanning the U.S. and Europe with special guest NAV, showcasing the label's fresh roster. The compilation series Slime Language remains a flagship product, with Slime Language 2 released in 2021 and a deluxe edition following. Gunna, though he took a plea deal in the RICO case, released his album The Last Wun under YSL in May 2026, signaling ongoing ties.
