About This Album
Zach Bryan released his fourth extended play, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, on October 16, 2026, through Belting Bronco and Warner Records. The eight-song set runs roughly 34 minutes and finds Bryan working in a quieter, more experimental register than the 25-song album With Heaven On that he issued in January of the same year. Acoustic country remains the base, but the record folds in organ, synthesizer, and sampling in ways that have split critics.
Lana Del Rey appears on "Lies," and the Oklahoma band Turnpike Troubadours join for "Plainsman," a pairing that ties the EP to Bryan's regional roots. The opening track, "Lodi When," sets the tone with ambient textures and a church-organ figure before any guitar arrives. Retail listings and early promotional material sometimes described a ten-track project with a companion hardcover book covering a decade of Bryan's life; the released version is eight songs, and the book was not part of the standard package.
Commercially, the EP debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Americana/Folk Albums charts, Bryan's fifth triple-chart No. 1 debut. It also reached number two on the all-genre Billboard 200, an unusual placement for an EP. On Album of the Year, the project holds a critic score of 68 from two reviews and a user score of 76 from more than 600 ratings.
