Overview
You and I Are Polar Opposites (Japanese: 正反対な君と僕, Hepburn: Seihantai na Kimi to Boku) is a Japanese web manga series written and illustrated by Kōcha Agasawa. It was serialized on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ app and website from May 9, 2022 to November 25, 2024, with its chapters collected in eight tankōbon volumes. The series follows Miyu Suzuki, an outgoing high school girl, and her relationship with her crush Yusuke Tani, an introverted boy, while also drawing focus on their group of friends and their respective relationships.
The manga is known for its realistic portrayal of teenage emotions and slow-burn romance, avoiding typical tropes like forced drama. It won second place in the 2023 Next Manga Award for Web Manga and was nominated for the 2024 Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category. As of February 2025, the series has sold over 2.5 million copies in Japan.
An anime television series adaptation produced by Lapin Track aired from January 10 to March 28, 2026 on Fuji TV's +Ultra block, with streaming on Crunchyroll. A second season is set to premiere in July 2026. A stage play is also scheduled for August 2026.
