    About This Album

Ken Carson dropped his fifth studio album, Xperiment, on July 3, 2026, via Opium and Interscope Records. The project expands on the distorted trap sound of his previous work while weaving in more melodic elements and chaotic production techniques. Critics described the sonic landscape as a "technicolor fever dream" that balances aggression with experimental textures.

The tracklist contains 22 songs with a runtime of approximately one hour. Commercially, the release debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 chart, driven by 42,000 equivalent units sold in its first week. A pop-up event in New York City's Lower East Side preceded the digital drop, drawing intense crowds and generating significant social media buzz regarding the album's content.

Critical reception remained divided upon release. Pitchfork and Slant Magazine offered lukewarm to negative reviews, questioning whether the experimental title matched the actual output. Conversely, New Wave Magazine praised the record for establishing a blueprint for the next generation of rap. Following the launch, Carson announced the Xperimenting Tour scheduled for August and September 2026 across North America.
