Wataru Katō

Katō's record book entry is unusual for a voice actor of his age. The Guinness World Record for the longest monologue in Japanese anime, set in July 2025, belongs to The 100 Girlfriends as a series, but the performance that made it possible was his. Fans of the show treat the record as a tribute to his commitment to the Rentaro role, and IMDb coverage of him recreating an extreme manga panel in April 2025 reinforced that reputation. Beyond the record, his accolades are thin on paper: no Seiyu Awards, no festival prizes, no hall of fame inductions. What he has instead is a filmography that has grown steadily since 2020, with roles in some of the most-watched anime of the mid-2020s.
