Records

Montella's playing career peaked at Roma, where he won the Scudetto and became the club's seventh all-time leading scorer with 102 goals. His four-goal haul in the 2002 Derby della Capitale remains one of the most legendary individual performances in Italian football. As a manager, he earned the Panchina d'Oro in 2013, awarded to the best Serie A coach, for guiding Fiorentina to a fourth-place finish and a Coppa Italia final. His most recent achievement is leading Turkey to the Euro 2024 quarterfinals, their best major tournament showing since 2008, revitalizing the national team with an attacking style and integrating young talents.

AwardsAs a player, Montella won the Serie A title with Roma in 2000-01, the Coppa Italia in 2006-07, and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2007. Individually, he was the Serie B top scorer in 1996-97 and received the Azzurro d'Oro in 2000. As a manager, he won the Supercoppa Italiana with AC Milan in 2016 and the Panchina d'Oro (Serie A Coach of the Year) in 2013. He was inducted into the Roma Hall of Fame in 2017.
