Vanessa Merrell

Vanessa Merrell built a following by being funny, musical, and completely herself on camera. Born August 6, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri, she and her twin sister Veronica turned a childhood hobby into the Merrell Twins YouTube channel, which has passed 6 million subscribers. Their mix of comedy sketches, original songs, and behind-the-scenes vlogs struck a chord with viewers who liked the sisters' easy chemistry. In 2016 the pair won YouNower of the Year at the Shorty Awards and Best Live Show at the Streamy Awards, two honors that signaled their arrival in the creator economy.
