Bad Bunny's fourth solo studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti (A Summer Without You), dropped on May 6, 2022, via Rimas Entertainment. It arrived nearly two years after his 2020 release El Último Tour Del Mundo, and it finds the Puerto Rican superstar in a sun-soaked, introspective mood. The 23-track record blends reggaeton, cumbia, indie pop, and psychedelic textures, with guest spots from Chencho Corleone, Jhayco, Tony Dize, Rauw Alejandro, Bomba Estéreo, the Marías, Buscabulla, and frequent collaborator Tainy. The album explores love, heartbreak, and the carefree joys of summer, all wrapped in a warm, hazy production that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

The album was a massive success. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, becoming Bad Bunny's second chart-topper and only the second all-Spanish-language album to achieve that feat. It spent 13 weeks on top and finished as the best-performing album of 2022 on the Billboard 200 Year-End Chart, a first for a Spanish-language release. It also became the first album by a Latin artist to hit 10 billion streams on Spotify. At the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards, it won Best Urban Music Album, and at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, it earned a historic nomination for Album of the Year, making it the first Spanish-language album to be nominated in that category. The IFPI named it the world's best-selling album of 2022, and Apple Music ranked it 76th on its 100 Best Albums list. To support the record, Bad Bunny launched the all-stadium World's Hottest Tour in the second half of 2022, which became the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist at the time. [edit]
