Tyler Huntley

Tyler Isaiah Huntley is an American professional football quarterback currently playing for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Born in Dania Beach, Florida, he built a reputation as a dynamic dual-threat athlete before entering the pros. Huntley is best known for his time at the University of Utah, where he led the Utes to consecutive Pac-12 South Division titles in 2018 and 2019. His ability to extend plays with his legs and deliver under pressure earned him first-team All-Pac-12 honors.

Despite going undrafted in 2020, Huntley signed with the Ravens immediately afterward. He has evolved from a backup role into a critical starter during key moments, most notably delivering a historic performance against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5 of the 2026 season. That game saw him become the only quarterback in NFL history to complete 10-for-10 or better with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the final two minutes of a game. [edit]

Huntley grew up in Dania Beach, Florida, where his passion for sports ignited early. He attended Dania Beach High School, distinguishing himself as a standout athlete in both football and track. His high school performance caught the attention of college scouts, leading him to commit to the University of Utah. Before joining the team officially, he walked on to the roster in 2016, showing immediate promise despite the lack of a scholarship offer initially.

The nickname "Snoop" emerged during his collegiate years at Utah. Teammates and coaches attributed it to his relaxed demeanor and calm style of play, traits that would define his approach on the field. While serving as a backup in his early college years, he quickly made an impact whenever given the opportunity. By his sophomore year in 2018, he had seized the starting job, guiding the Utes to their first Pac-12 South Division title in over a decade. This success continued into his junior season in 2019, solidifying his status as one of the top quarterbacks in the conference. [edit]

Huntley entered the 2020 NFL Draft but went undrafted. On April 25, 2020, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. For the next few seasons, he served primarily as the backup to star quarterback Lamar Jackson. During this period, he gained valuable experience through limited action and cameo appearances, showcasing his unique ability to run the ball effectively when called upon.

His role expanded significantly in 2023 when Jackson suffered an injury. Huntley stepped in to start multiple games, demonstrating his capability as a primary starter and proving he could handle the pressure of leading the offense. He continued to solidify his status as a reliable backup and occasional starter through the 2024 and 2025 seasons, contributing to the Ravens' playoff pushes whenever needed.

The defining moment of his career arrived in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Facing the Atlanta Falcons without Jackson, Huntley delivered a career-defining performance. He completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns while rushing six times for 20 yards and a score. A crucial 19-yard scramble kept a drive alive on fourth down. Most remarkably, he became the only quarterback in NFL history to go 10-for-10 or better with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the final two minutes of a game. The Ravens secured a dramatic 30-23 overtime victory, cementing Huntley's place as a clutch performer in the league. [edit]

Media portrays Huntley as a resilient and adaptable player who thrives in high-pressure situations. His signature style involves a mix of poise and explosiveness, allowing him to make big plays when the clock winds down. Teammates describe him as one of the coolest dudes in the locker room, a sentiment reinforced by his relaxed demeanor on the field. He interacts with fans primarily through official team channels and post-game interviews, maintaining a low-key presence compared to other stars. His image is built on hard work and letting his play speak for itself rather than seeking the spotlight off the field. [edit]
