TRXYE

Troye Sivan released TRXYE on August 15, 2014, marking his first project under a major label with EMI Music Australia. The EP served as a polished bridge between his earlier YouTube fame and his career as a professional recording artist. It blended intimate songwriting with atmospheric electronic production to explore themes of youthful romance and self-discovery.

The title combines Sivan's nickname "Trxy" with the suffix "-ye." Critics noted the mature tone of the record compared to typical teen internet releases. The collection features lush synthesizers and rhythmic beats that created a dreamy aesthetic appealing to a youth demographic. [edit]
