Tré Cool is widely recognized as one of the greatest punk drummers in history. Drum Magazine named him Best Punk Drummer in 2011, and in 2014 he was ranked second best punk drummer of all time. His drumming on albums like Dookie and American Idiot has influenced countless musicians. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Green Day in 2015.

AwardsTré Cool won an MTV Music Award in 1998 for his work with Green Day. Individually, he was named Best Punk Drummer by Drum Magazine in 2011 and ranked the second best punk drummer of all time in 2014.
