Tōshirō Hitsugaya

Tōshirō Hitsugaya grew up in the Rukongai district of Junrinan, a poor outskirt of Soul Society. As a child, he was known for his short temper and his fierce protectiveness over his childhood friends, Rangiku Matsumoto and Momo Hinamori. His latent spiritual power was so immense that it manifested as a dragon-shaped ice spirit, Hyōrinmaru, which he could not control at first. This power drew the attention of the Gotei 13, and he was enrolled in the Shinō Academy, where he graduated in record time and achieved bankai soon after, making him the youngest captain in the history of the Gotei 13.
