Toshiaki Iwashiro

Toshiaki Iwashiro's greatest achievement may be the generation of manga artists he helped launch. Kōhei Horikoshi, Yūki Tabata, and Yūsuke Murata all worked as his assistants, and their combined global sales exceed 100 million copies. His own series Psyren remains a beloved cult classic, often cited by fans as one of the best shonen series never to get an anime. Iwashiro proved that a Jump mangaka could build a lasting reputation through mentorship as much as through personal output.
