Ferguson holds the UFC lightweight record for the longest winning streak at 12 fights, a run that included victories over five former champions or interim titleholders. He is one of only two fighters to win an interim UFC title without ever fighting for the undisputed belt while holding it. His 2016 Submission of the Year against Edson Barboza is still replayed as one of the slickest Darce chokes in MMA history. Ferguson also earned 11 post-fight bonuses in the UFC, a testament to his consistently exciting style. Despite never winning an undisputed title, he is regularly ranked among the greatest lightweights of all time by analysts and fans.
