Tony Banks's greatest achievements are tied to his role in Genesis, where he co-wrote some of the most enduring songs in rock history and helped shape the sound of progressive rock. He is one of the few musicians to have been a constant member of a major band from its formation to its final tour, spanning over five decades. His influence on keyboard playing in rock is widely acknowledged, earning him a place on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Keyboardists of All Time at number 9.
