Tommy Tuberville's coaching career is defined by the 2004 Auburn Tigers, one of the few teams in modern college football to finish a season undefeated without winning a national championship. That year he swept the major national coach-of-the-year awards, a feat matched by few. He is the only Auburn head coach to beat Alabama six consecutive times, a streak that cemented his legacy in the Iron Bowl rivalry. His 159 career wins place him among the 50 winningest coaches in Division I history. He also served as president of the American Football Coaches Association in 2015, reflecting the respect of his peers.
