The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in a Different World as an Aristocrat

A legendary assassin from modern Earth dies at the hands of his own employer, only to wake up in a fantasy world reborn as Louis Armagedon. The goddess Misha Necron grants him this new life with a singular, grim purpose: destroy the prophesied Hero before that figure can corrupt humanity and bring about the end of the world. Louis brings his past life's expertise in poisons, tactics, and cold-blooded killing to bear on a mission that requires dismantling both the church and the aristocracy.

Rui Tsukiyo originally posted the story on the user-generated site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in July 2018. Kadokawa Shoten acquired the rights for print publication, releasing the first volume under the Sneaker Bunko imprint on February 1, 2019. Illustrator Reia provides the character designs, capturing the stoic nature of the protagonist and the lush details of the magical setting.

The series has expanded into multiple formats with a manga adaptation by Hamao Sumeragi starting in January 2019 and an anime produced by Silver Link and Studio Palette airing in late 2021. Yen Press handles the English localization for both the novels and the comic. Fans appreciate the logical progression of events and the strategic battles that distinguish this entry from typical wish-fulfillment stories in the genre. [edit]
