The War and Treaty have accumulated two competitive awards and multiple historic nominations. They are the first Black duo ever nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards, a recognition they have received three years running (2022, 2023, 2024). Their collaboration with Zach Bryan, "Hey Driver," has surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify and became their first top-20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo's 2020 album Hearts Town hit No. 1 on the Heatseekers chart, and their subsequent releases have consistently charted in the top 5 of the Americana/Folk Albums chart. They have been featured on the cover of Billboard and profiled in The New York Times, and they performed at the White House for two presidents.
