The Tragically Hip's 17 Juno Awards place them among the most decorated acts in Canadian music history. They were the best-selling Canadian band in Canada between 1996 and 2016, and the fourth best-selling Canadian artist overall in that period. Nine of their thirteen studio albums reached number one on the Canadian charts, a record for a Canadian rock band. Their final concert in 2016 was broadcast by CBC and watched by millions, a testament to their singular place in the country's cultural fabric. The band was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2002 and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2005. A Canada Post commemorative stamp was issued in 2013.
