The Swell Season

The Swell Season's crowning achievement was the Academy Award for Best Original Song, a historic win for an independent film and for two relatively unknown artists. "Falling Slowly" became an instant classic, and the duo's success proved that music made with raw emotion and authenticity could reach the highest heights. Their Oscar win remains a proud moment for Irish and Czech music, and the song continues to be a beloved standard.
