The Edge's guitar work has defined U2's sound across five decades, earning him 22 Grammy Awards and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Rolling Stone has consistently ranked him among the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. His innovative use of delay and effects has influenced countless musicians. The U2 360° Tour, which he helped shape, held the record for the highest-grossing concert tour in history. His contributions extend beyond music: he co-founded Music Rising, which has provided instruments to musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina, and he performed in a Kyiv subway station in 2023 to show solidarity with Ukraine.
