Terajima's Ace of Diamond is one of the most celebrated baseball manga of its generation. Winning both the Shogakukan and Kodansha Manga Awards places it among an elite group of series recognized by Japan's top manga honors. The series ran for 16 years, amassing millions of readers worldwide and inspiring a dedicated fanbase that continues to celebrate the story and characters long after its conclusion.

AwardsTerajima won the 53rd Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2008 and the 34th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2010, both for Ace of Diamond. These are two of Japan's most prestigious manga awards.
