Records
Tang Wei's career is studded with historic firsts. She is the first and only non-Korean actress to win Best Actress at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and she did it twice, for Late Autumn and Decision to Leave. That second win came with a sweep of Korea's top film honors, including the Blue Dragon, Chunsa, and Buil awards. At Cannes in 2008, she became the first Asian actor to receive the Trophée Chopard, an honor given to promising young performers. Her work in Decision to Leave also helped the film win Best Director at Cannes for Park Chan-wook.
