Takt Op.

Takt Op. is a Japanese mixed-media project that emerged from a collaboration between Bandai Namco Arts and DeNA. The franchise launched with an anime television series, Takt Op. Destiny, produced by MAPPA and Madhouse. Directed by Yuki Itoh with character designs by LIDENFILMS' Reiko Nagasawa, the show aired from October to December 2021. The story follows pianist Takt Asahina, who bonds with a Musicart named Destiny to fight monsters called D2s. The series blends action and classical music, with a tone that swings between melancholy and high-energy battles.

A mobile game, Takt Op. Symphony, developed by Game Studio, was released in June 2023 but shut down in April 2024 after less than a year of operation. The anime holds a 6.7 rating on MyAnimeList, indicating mixed reception. The brand's identity centers on personifications of classical music pieces, known as Musicarts, who fight alongside human partners. [edit]
