Suzi Gardner

Suzi Gardner co-founded L7, a band that became a touchstone of 1990s alternative rock and feminist punk. Their album Bricks Are Heavy sold over half a million copies, and "Pretend We're Dead" was named one of the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1990s by NME. Gardner also co-founded Rock for Choice, organizing benefit concerts that raised significant funds for pro-choice organizations and featured some of the biggest names in rock. In 2022, L7 was inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing their lasting impact on the genre.
