Susan Boyle's achievements are historic. Her debut album I Dreamed a Dream holds the Guinness World Record for fastest-selling debut album by a female artist in the UK. She became the first female artist to top both the UK and US album charts with two different albums in the same calendar year. In 2012, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to music. She has received honorary doctorates from the University of Glasgow, Queen Margaret University, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
