Superestrella

Aitana released "Superestrella" on October 31, 2025, as the final single from her fourth studio album Cuarto Azul. The track arrived via Universal Music and was crafted by producer Nicolás Cotton alongside Aitana Ocaña and Carolina Isabel Colón Juarbe. Its sound leans into a driving pop rhythm with resonant drum patterns designed for large venues.

The song climbed Spain's Promusicae chart quickly, moving from number 22 to number 2 within weeks. Its trajectory shifted dramatically during the summer of 2026 when the Spain national football team adopted it as an unofficial anthem for the FIFA World Cup. Fans chanted the chorus in stadiums and at public viewing parties across the country, turning the track into a cultural touchstone that propelled it to number 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Pop Songs chart in July 2026.

Reviewers highlighted the empowering message about self-love and liberation woven through the lyrics. Jenesaispop praised the song as a perfect closing track for the album, while El País noted its ability to turn listeners into instant crowd-pleasers. Although some critics found the structure formulaic compared to other experimental tracks on Cuarto Azul, the consensus remained that its anthemic quality secured its success. The track inspired covers by artist Beret and a remix by DJ Nano, and it appeared in the soundtrack for the Spanish film El año de la furia. [edit]
