Overview
Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Akira Hiramoto launched Super Ball Girls in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine in October 2022. The story follows Eita Ichiyoshi, a lonely factory worker at a chocolate company who discovers that marbles from his past transform into women when they touch him. These entities, known as Super Ball Girls, begin to multiply uncontrollably across the globe, creating a biological hazard that threatens humanity.
Unlike typical harem stories where an endless supply of idealized women is a fantasy, this series turns that trope into a nightmare. Ichiyoshi struggles to suppress his desires while facing a multiplication pandemic that strips him of control over his own life. The narrative blends body horror with social satire to critique the objectification of women and the isolation of modern men.
Hiramoto's art style shifts between energetic grotesque transformations and quiet moments of introspection. The manga concluded with its final chapter in early 2026 after running for roughly four years. Oni Press licensed the English edition, releasing volumes starting in 2023.
