Records
Sun Wen's list of honors is short but historic. She is one of only two players ever named FIFA Female Player of the Century, an award she shared with Michelle Akers. Her 1999 World Cup double of Golden Ball and Golden Boot remains a rare feat, and her Olympic silver medal helped cement China's place among the world's best. Beyond trophies, she broke barriers as a female leader in Chinese football, becoming vice-president of the CFA in 2019.
