Thomas S. Arashikage was born into the prestigious Arashikage ninja clan in Japan. As a child, he was sent to study under the clan's master, the Hard Master, alongside a young orphan from America named Snake Eyes. The two boys formed a deep bond, becoming blood brothers. Storm Shadow was groomed to be the clan's heir, but tragedy struck when the Hard Master was murdered. Storm Shadow was framed for the crime, and the evidence pointed toward Snake Eyes as the true killer.
