Steven Spielberg's accolades reflect his unparalleled impact on cinema. He is one of only 22 people to achieve EGOT status, winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. He has won three Academy Awards, including two for Best Director. His films have earned over 100 Academy Award nominations collectively. He received the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1995, an honorary knighthood in 2001, the Kennedy Center Honor in 2006, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015, and the National Medal of Arts in 2023.
