Steve Smith's contributions to drumming and rock music have earned him a place among the legends of the instrument. His induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Journey in 2017 solidified his impact on popular culture. Being voted the No. 1 All-Around Drummer by Modern Drummer readers five times in a row is a rare feat that speaks to his consistent excellence.
