Steve Sarkisian

Stephen Ambrose Sarkisian arrived in Torrance, California, on March 8, 1974. Now 52 years old, he serves as the head football coach for the University of Texas. His path to the top started on the gridiron as a quarterback at Brigham Young University before he took his talents to the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. That playing experience shaped his understanding of the game and set the stage for a coaching career that would take him across the country. Sarkisian transitioned into coaching with notable stops at major programs. He led the University of Washington from 2009 to 2013 and later directed the University of Southern California (USC) from 2014 to 2015. Before returning to the college ranks, he spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League. His time at Alabama from 2019 to 2020 further solidified his reputation for designing high-powered offenses.
