Steve Rogers

Steve Rogers grew up in Depression-era Brooklyn as a frail and sickly young man. Born to Irish immigrant parents in the 1920s, he faced constant health issues including asthma, scoliosis, and heart problems that left him at just 5 feet 4 inches and around 100 pounds. Despite these limitations, Rogers burned with a sense of justice and repeatedly tried to enlist in the army after America entered World War II.

His persistence caught the attention of Dr. Abraham Erskine, who selected him for Project Rebirth. The Super-Soldier Serum transformed Rogers into a peak human specimen with enhanced strength, speed, and healing. By the time of the final battle against Thanos, Rogers had grown from an idealistic soldier into a battle-hardened leader who ultimately chose to live the life he had missed with Peggy Carter.
