Records
Stephen Timms's greatest honour came in 2022 when he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to politics and public service. He was appointed a Privy Counsellor in 2006, granting him the title Right Honourable. His longevity in Parliament, over 30 years as an MP, and his survival of a terrorist attack are widely admired. His work on the Timms Review of Personal Independence Payment is considered a landmark in disability policy.
