New York Liberty

The New York Liberty stands as a cornerstone of professional women's basketball, rooted deeply in the boroughs of Brooklyn. Founded in 1997 as one of the eight original franchises to launch the Women's National Basketball Association, the team has spent nearly three decades building a legacy on the hardwood. They compete in the Eastern Conference and call the Barclays Center home, sharing the venue with their NBA counterparts, the Brooklyn Nets. Ownership rests firmly with Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, whose investment has helped elevate the franchise into a modern powerhouse.[edit]
