    About

Club Atlético Estudiantes is a multi-sport club in Caseros, part of the Tres de Febrero partido in Greater Buenos Aires. The football team, usually called Estudiantes de Caseros or Estudiantes de Buenos Aires, plays in the Primera Nacional, Argentina's second tier. White and red are the colors, and the Estadio Ciudad de Caseros holds around 16,000 people. The ground fills up for derbies against Almagro and Tristán Suárez. The club also runs futsal, artistic gymnastics, kickboxing, artistic roller skating and taekwondo, with youth academies that keep the Caseros community involved.

Founded on 15 August 1898, Estudiantes is one of the oldest football institutions in Argentina. It had spells in the top division in the 1930s and 1970s but has never won a national league title. The 2006-07 Primera B Metropolitana championship, which brought promotion to the Primera B Nacional, is the club's signature achievement. A second promotion in 2019 was celebrated with street parties in Caseros and a display from the sky, documented by the club's own channels under the hashtag #EstudiantesNacional.

Walter Otta is the current head coach. The club's identity is built on local roots and a stubborn competitive streak in the Buenos Aires football scene, rather than on national titles. Supporters pack the Ciudad de Caseros for derbies and for promotion celebrations, and the club functions as a community hub for Tres de Febrero.

    History

The club was founded on 15 August 1898, making it one of the oldest football institutions in Argentina. Its traditional colors are white and red. Estudiantes has spent time in the Argentine top division, most notably during the 1930s and again in the 1970s, but has never won a national league title. The 2006-07 Primera B Metropolitana championship is the club's most celebrated achievement, securing promotion to the Primera B Nacional. A second promotion in 2019 was marked with street parties in Caseros and a celebratory display from the sky, documented by the club's own channels under the hashtag #EstudiantesNacional.

The club's principal local rivalries are with nearby Greater Buenos Aires sides, notably Almagro and Tristán Suárez, with derby matches drawing the largest home attendances. Matches against Acassuso and Chacarita Juniors also carry local weight. Beyond football, Estudiantes operates futsal, artistic gymnastics, kickboxing, artistic roller skating and taekwondo, with facilities serving the Caseros community and youth academies across its sports.
