Spice and Wolf

Traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence stumbles upon Holo, a wise wolf deity trapped in the form of a young woman with large ears and a tail. Their journey begins not with a battle against monsters, but with a partnership forged to reach her northern homeland while Lawrence seeks his fortune through trade. Isuna Hasekura wrote this light novel series, illustrated by Jū Ayakura, which ASCII Media Works began releasing under the Dengeki Bunko imprint on February 10, 2006. The main run spans 24 volumes, with a spin-off titled Wolf and Parchment launching in 2016.
