Songs for You

Tinashe assumed full creative control with Songs for You, her fourth studio album released independently on November 21, 2019. This project arrived after she parted ways with RCA Records and signed a management deal with Roc Nation. The record blends previously unreleased material from her shelved 2018 sessions known as Nashe with fresh tracks recorded in her Los Angeles home studio.

The collection spans fifteen tracks with a runtime of approximately 52 minutes. It features a diverse sonic palette that blends R&B, pop, trap, G-funk, and acoustic ballads. Hit-Boy served as a key collaborator alongside Tinashe, who co-wrote and produced much of the record. Prominent collaborators featured on specific tracks include Ms Banks on "Die a Little Bit," 6lack on "Touch & Go," and Ty Dolla $ign on "Save Room for Us."
