The collaboration brought together Slim Thug and Paul Wall, marking the latter's first appearance on a major single release.

Salih Williams crafted the production using a minimalist beat built around a repetitive synth melody and heavy bass lines. This approach created a slow-tempo atmosphere that diverged sharply from the crunk style dominating Southern rap at the time. The chorus emphasized a specific lyricism pattern known as "four fours," referencing luxury cars wrapped in four-spoke wheels and Vogue tires. That hook became an instant cultural catchphrase within the genre.
