"No Air" is a pop duet that paired American Idol winner Jordin Sparks with R&B star Chris Brown. Released on February 11, 2008, as the second single from Sparks's self-titled debut album, the song was written by James Fauntleroy II, Harvey Mason Jr., Steve Russell, Erik Griggs, and Damon Thomas. It became a commercial powerhouse, topping charts in Australia and New Zealand and peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. In New Zealand, it was the best-selling single of 2008. Domestically, digital sales exceeded 3.5 million copies, making Sparks the first American Idol alum to cross the three-million threshold. The track earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals and won Favorite Combined Forces at the People's Choice Awards.
