About This Song
The KTM Duke 200 is a 199.5 cc single-cylinder standard motorcycle that has been in production since 2012. It serves as a larger sibling to the 125 Duke and features a four-stroke, spark-ignition liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. The design includes a cable actuated multi-disc clutch and an underbelly exhaust system with a three-chamber silencer placed near the center of gravity for balanced handling.
Manufacturing takes place across several global hubs to meet regional demand. Bajaj Autos produces the bike at its Chakan Plant in India, while Auteco S.A. handles assembly in Colombia. Simpa S.A. began assembling units in Argentina in March 2014, and KTM Asia Motorcycle Manufacturing Inc. operates a facility in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. This widespread production network ensures steady availability in key markets.
In August 2020, the Duke 200 finally arrived in North America after years of being exclusive to Asian, European, and South American territories. The US release included updated styling cues and components borrowed from the more powerful Duke 390 to align it with the rest of the Duke family lineup.
