It Depends

Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller teamed up for It Depends, a smooth R&B track that dropped on July 25, 2025. The song arrived as the second single from Brown's twelfth studio album, which shares its name with the artist. RiotUSA and Nico Baran handled production duties, constructing a soundscape anchored by a distinct sample of Usher's 1998 hit "Nice & Slow." This choice bridges generations of R&B, linking Brown's modern energy with classic vibes while allowing Tiller to lay down his signature laid-back flow.

The lyrics explore themes of romantic uncertainty mixed with mutual attraction. Lines like "You bad as hell, I'll treat you well, I will" set a playful yet sensual tone throughout the track. The writers include Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, RiotUSA, Nico Baran, along with Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Usher, who penned the original composition sampled here. [edit]
