ExtraL pairs K-pop powerhouse Jennie with American rapper Doechii for a high-energy hip-hop anthem that celebrates female success. Released on February 21, 2025, through Odd Atelier and Columbia Records, the track serves as the third single from Jennie's debut solo album, Ruby. The song was written by Jennie and Doechii alongside Alexis Andrea Boyd, Sorana Păcurar, and producer Dem Jointz, whose dynamic beat gives the duo a platform for rapid-fire verses about ambition and independence.

Critics greeted ExtraL with enthusiasm, highlighting the track's punchy production and the artists' versatile flows. Doechii's verse in particular drew praise for its sharp delivery. The song performed well globally, reaching number 18 on the Billboard Global 200 and cracking the top ten in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. In South Korea, it peaked at number 42 on the Circle Digital Chart. Stateside, ExtraL became Jennie's fourth and highest-charting entry on the Billboard Hot 100, landing at number 75, and earned a gold certification from the RIAA, making her the first K-pop solo artist to achieve four RIAA certifications.
