Ever Since U Left Me

French Montana and Max B reunite on "Ever Since U Left Me (I Went Deaf)," the lead single from their collaborative mixtape Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos. Released January 23, 2026, through Coke Boys Records and Bad Boy Entertainment, the track channels gritty New York hip-hop energy built on a sample of KC and the Sunshine Band's 1975 disco hit "That's the Way (I Like It)." Producers Johnny Goldstein and Juko flip the upbeat original into a darker, more streetwise sound, giving the song a nostalgic yet fresh feel.

The song debuted at number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming French Montana's 15th chart entry and Max B's first since 2009. It peaked at number 82 and reached number 23 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In the UK, it entered at number 41. The RIAA certified it Gold on June 12, 2026, for over 500,000 units sold stateside.

Critical reception was mixed to positive. Pitchfork gave it a 6.8 out of 10, praising the "unexpectedly effective disco-rap fusion" but noting the hook wears thin. Rolling Stone called it "a nostalgic, gritty throwback," while Complex deemed the sample flip "bold but ultimately rewarding."
