Yeat dropped Cocoon, his eighth extended play, on September 18, 2026. The project arrived through a joint effort between Lyfestyle Corporation, Field Trip Recordings, and Capitol Records. This release stands out in his discography for the inclusion of a feature from Canadian superstar Drake on the title track.

The seven-track record runs about 16 minutes and 49 seconds. It leans into the rage subgenre with distorted 808s, chaotic bass-heavy production, melodic hooks, and rapid-fire flows. The EP includes five new songs Yeat wrote while touring alongside tracks like EARNËD IT, IN2THAT, LUH BIRK, HOLY WATËR, and TËNNIS.

Reception leaned toward the skeptical side. A review from Rolling Stone published on September 23, 2026, called the project a return to familiar territory but described the results as mostly dull and lackluster. Critics noted that the short runtime exposed these shortcomings rather than hiding them. Pre-release projections estimated an opening week of roughly 16,000 units despite the mixed critical response.
